‘Lost In Thought Within The Architecture Of Solitude’ is a limited edition photographic print by Dario Lemos (only 10 prints will be issued).

As a photographer, my goal in capturing this image was to explore the relationship between the individual and the vastness of modern architecture. I was struck by the contrast between the expansive, clean lines of the building and the lone figure absorbed in their own world. The scene spoke to me of the quiet solitude that often accompanies urban life—where, despite being surrounded by grand structures and open spaces, we can feel both small and deeply introspective.

I chose to frame the person within the large window to emphasize their isolation within this structured environment, drawing attention to the interplay of light and shadow that further accentuates the starkness of the scene. The decision to shoot in black and white was deliberate; it strips the image down to its essential elements, focusing the viewer’s attention on the composition, contrast, and the mood I wanted to evoke. This photograph is a reflection of my interest in capturing the stillness within the bustle of modern life, where even in such vast spaces, moments of personal reflection can be found.

Frame Details: We use sustainable wooden frames and glass, not fibreboard and acrylic which typically you find in ‘off the shelf’ frames. Unlike acrylic, glass does not lose its clarity over time and can be easily and safely cleaned.

Packaging Details: We go to great lengths to ensure that your purchase arrives in perfect condition. We only use sturdy cardboard postal tubes and double walled cardboard boxes.
